We’re a grassroots org focused on activating Philly’s queer community for direct action, mutual aid, & community safety.
Philly Queer Fundy was born out of a book club — a group of friends reading Let the Record Show by Sarah Schulman, chronicling the transformative organizing led by ACT UP during the 1980s and 90s. Now, we're following in the footsteps of these ancestors, organizing to build a more just Philadelphia and a more politically active queer community.
We organize "fundys" to direct funds to organizations and mutual aid networks doing life-saving, transformative work for queer Philadelphians. In our first year, we raised over $30,000 for a number of organizations, including:

In June 2025, PQF partnered with worker-rights organizations to hold Philly's first in-person 'ICE OUT' Community Training, educating Philadelphians on their constitutional rights and what actions to take if and when they encounter ICE. Since then, PQF has partnered with local and state representatives and community organizations to host dozens of trainings across the city.
PQF also works with queer businesses, bars, and non-profits to train their staff and develop worker safety plans in the event of an ICE raid.
